hi all, what r the advantages of a registered will over an unregistered will. my father has made a will in my favour but i have not yet registered it. i have heard that registration is not necessary ten why do people go for registration of the will.

Registration of Will is not compulsory. Main advantage of WILL is that easy to prove of its authenticity.

Yes , if the Will is challenged by any of the legal heirs of the testator, the registered Will is more difficult to be disproved or declared top be not genuine.

FOR A GREATER AUTHENTICITY OF THE WILL AS ONE PUBLIC OFFICER GETS INVOLVED IN ADMISSION OF TESTATION OF TESTATOR HAVING NO PERSONAL INTEREST IN THE SUBJECT MATTER.
