This query is : Resolved
That i was using a postpaid connection of bharti airtel in 2011 for almost one year and was paying the bills contiously. But then i have having many issue regarding the number for which i requsted to airtel authorities to resolve however no one bothered to resolve the issue.
Bharti Airtel has assigned me a credit limit of Rs 38000 however they made a bill of more than Rs 157000 mentioning that i have used the number in international roaming but i was never in international roaming.
The charges which i have not used why would i pay that. Then airtel has started a practice of collecting the money from customer by means of threat and harrasment to friends and family.
Some people are continously calling me and by family and are threatening that if they see me any where they will take me and beat me or kill me like that. My family is all the time worried about me.
Even after every two to three days some people are visiting my Home when my wife is alone and are threatening her and giving mental harrasment. My wife is already sick and in shock because we recently lost our new born baby.
On 21-April-2012 Sunday Two persons from Airtel Mr. Raminder Singh and Parimal visited my home , They threatened me and forced me to give the money but i didn't have money so they forced me to give Post dated cheques of Rs 104385.I will not be resposible if the cheques are bounced because they have taken cheques from me forcibly.
I have already lost the reputation in my friends and relative now i am worried about my self and my family. What will i do if some thing happen to me or My family.

Sorry you have given the cheque. You and you alone and none else is responsible if it is bounced. Now you go to jail if it is bounced.
Every colony has police station and they are available on dialiing 100. You did not call the police if goons came to you.
If you did not give cheeque then the company had to file CIVIL SUIT paying court fee and proving your liability. You may not have attended court only your lawyer could have gone.
But now they will not pay court fee and you being on bail will attend court on each date and you will prove your non-liability.

threatening to recover a telephone bill is illegal illegal. So you may file a case for that. But if you have any proof that you requested the service provider to disconnect your connection just file case before the state consumer dispute redressal forum forthwith.
