Dear Sirs,
I have to file an affidavit in a department. the affidavit was prepared on 26-6-12 that is it is mentioned in the affidavit that it is being sworn and signed on 26-6-12. but it was printed on a stamp paper dated 10-7-12 and got notarized on 12-7-12. will it be valid. if not then what are the mistakes and how are they to be corrected. kindly let me know.

The affidavit is incorrect and seriously contradictory and filing the same would amount to self invited trouble.
An affidavit can not be antedated.Tear it.
And prepare a fresh one.

It will be considered to be prepared on 12-7-12. u may chg dt from 26-6- to 12-7, and initial the mistake , attesting the same.
It may so happen that u prepared it on ledger paper , kept ready on 26-6 & do not sign it.
You go to Bank, franking in bank
done on 12-7 & go to Notary for attestation on 12-7-12. Date may be corrected & signed, as 12-7.
or go for fresh aff.

Best is to prepare a fresh affidavit.
