Dear Experts,

My Name is Tasrem Singh, i want to change my name with Tanveer Singh due to no reason.i have no criminal record and any other issue.
please suggest me what is procedure and formalities.

Affirm and declare an Affidavit to change your name before the Judicial Magistrate and published in a Newspaper.

You can do as said by Minansu, but if you want get it changed your name in the school records, affidavit is not sufficient, you will have to go for mandatory injunction suit.

Dear Rajeev ji,
Is it necessary to change name in all past record. all past documents will renew with new name. i have to go all education board & university with my new name to get chang on all doc.?
or only an affidavit is sufficient for this. please detail required documents.
