My relative want to change her name as during the school in her scool Leaving certificate the scool had done spelling mistake in her and her father's name. So,then she had to keep her name every were with such mistake,in Board exam, in job etc. Because she could not get proper guidance about procedure of change the name. she has birth certificate with correct name. But as so many people are doing mistake in her name always now she want to change her original name and dont want to rectify only spell of name.so,what is procedure?it may become expensive ? she may do it through legal aid ? To change the name will be better option or to make the correction as per birth certificate will be better?

If she wants to change her name in the school leaving certificate, she has to file a suit for mandatory injunction after giving notice u/s 80 of CPC. If she doesn't want change it in the school certificate, affidavit is sufficient.
To file a suit limitation comes in between. To avoid the limitation better to contact her advocate.

it shall be better to contact Education Board first which generally maek correction of such minor mistakes by charging their prescribed fee. Failing which file civil suit and get this done.
