Regarding release letter

I had one month of notice period and in lieu of that I had to pay one month of salary.
I had given one week of notice. My employeer did not gave me the salary of that month and HR Department confirmed by e-mail that they will release me on a certain date.
That date is over by nearly one month. And now they are not replying my e-mails nor receiving my phone calls.
How should I proceed to collect my Release Letter.

send a legal notice to company for your salary dues . in your case company has confirmed that they will release you on certian date . although said date has passed company has failed to give you relive you

You have a legal right to get the salary for the notice period if you have actually served in the organization so after serving legal notice, file the civil suit.

Can you tell me what is the process to send Legal Notice or file the civil suit.
Do I have to contact with any Lawyear to proceed?
I live in Kolkata and my previous employer is of Noida. So any Kolkata Based Lawyear can help me - if required ?
