(Querist) 28 November 2012 This query is : Resolved
Sir
My paternal uncle who was a government employee in the state of sikkim died a years back. he used to stay with me...not with her wife...as she once stayed for a year with her previous husband leaving my mama alone. my mama nominated me and my brother as his nominee in GPF with 50 -50 percent.
when mama died my mami came and performed last rites. and now she is filling for succession certificate...please tell me what my legal right would be there....do i get any share in the succession?
Please Advice

Sorry! No would be my answer in case he died
intestate without writing any will in your favor.

Thanx Prabhankar Sir...but 50 percent Nomination in GPF does not invite my any legal right?

Nomination in GPF is not equivalent to will. Nominee is authorized to collect the proceeds but he is legally bound to disburse the same to legal heirs of deceased.
