(Querist) 10 December 2012 This query is : Resolved
I want to appoint my cousin in India as my POA to attend my court hearings in India. I am curently resident in the UK and I have prepared a POA through UK solicitor (Commissioner of Oaths). I would like to know whether this document to be get attested by Indian High Commission ?

Thanks

Yes. After attestation before High Commission, it shall be required to be registered before Registrar of the area in India and only then it shall take the shape of a legal POA.
