Dear Experts,

I have one of my friend who is brought up by his mother since birth,actually his father has left them before he was born and to be frank with all of you his father and mother was never married he is the son of his mother.

His mom is ST but since he doesn't has a father he is finding difficulties to get his certificate

I would like to know is there any provision through which he can make his certificate done on the based of his mom(All requires evidence can be given like his neighbors/friends/relatives and everything that he was brought up completely by his mother.

If its possible can anyone tells me under which act of Indian law that is possible

What can be the procedure for the same.

Your helping hands would be highly appreciated.

Meet the Top official of concerned authorities and seek the procedures.what is mentioned in his school certificates regarding caste and whose name is there whether father or mother

Thanks for your concern.

Please let me know whome should we contact we dont have any clue.
In school certificates as you know father name is required so they have kept simple a fake father name which is changing from school to school also sometimes
Rest surname is of his mother as he is brought up under her shelter.

How could they give Fake Father's Name.You Confirm With Thasildar office/Municipality office/Revenue Dept regarding issuance of Certificate

Thank you so much for your guidance Mr Rajkumar.
Well his mother did so because father name was mandatory and without this it was not possible in the school to get admission,Also he was also a kid and was not mature enough to understand these things.

Hope you can understand this.

I will contact to those departments but I would like to know on the based of above situation discussed our efforts are not going to lead us with a positive result ?

There is a law in India for this kind of situation ?

Dear help seeker,If you are in Tamilnadu there is procedure for local enquiry to resolve such cases.The Revenue authorites can do this and arrive at the caste based on findings.Contact the Tahsildar of your area.
