Dear Sir,
I need to clarify some doubt regarding will.
1.What is the stamp duty should be paid for writing /executing a will ?Is there any standard stamp duty & or based on Property value?.
2.Is there any formality like will should be written by the property holder's hand ? or it may typed ?
3.Whether registration of Will is mandatory ? if yes when?
4.What will happen if the will has not been registered for a long time from the date of demise of the property holder? i.e. more than 15 years due to unknown about the will executed matter i.e. the property holder has not inform to any one of the family member?

If you want to register the will you will have to pay the stamp duty in accordance with the state stamp act.
Will can be written in plain paper also.

1. Stamp duty differs from state to state. No stamp duty payable on will, if registered registration charges need to be paid.
2. Can be hand written or typed, should be signed by the executor and two witness.
3. Not mandatory.
4. It should be probated.

registration is not mandatory; when you write a will on any immovable properties then you have to attach with will all proper copies of documents that you will for clarity on what you willed;
then will can be written by any even on toilet paper it is said. if you do so your will end up in toilet only;
it is a serious document ensure you do not deny rightful shares to rightful share holders in your property so that there would not be internecine battles among them; never deny any one's right over your property why even your own illegal children if you happen to have and even living in relations too, that way you should be justiciable, after all your will after your death that becomes final will when your properties can be taken or if you want in your life time that is called partitioning of your properties, no doubt your children or any one interested in property cannot force you to partition your property that forcing is illegal!
