Advice need on service bond agreement breach

Hi Experts,

I have a major problem of employment service bond that is troubling me.I have joined L&T Infotech on April,2011 and signed a bond for Rs.200000.Due to personal reason I quit the company in 15 days without informing HR ( Absconded ).

And after a gap of 3 year, I got a notice from the lawyer, asking me to pay the bond amount.
Could you please help me, what can be the probable steps I could take?

Your lawyer may opine that matter is time barred, after examining all docs on record.

Even if not your lawyer can submit a fitting reply and for it your lawyer would need inputs from you in person.

After the reply the matter may be put on 'Shut Up' mode permanently.

Whatever be the situation don't abscond and always consult elders in family and your lawyer before you act on your own.

Reply the notice on merits, consult a lawyer. The claim may be time barred.

You have not stated what is the date of issue of notice and the date of its receipt by you.

As observed by experts, it may be a time barred claim, hey are sending you a legal notice pressurizing you to commit in order to bring life to the time barred claim, better be careful about committing to the demand, consult a local lawyer and decide about the contents of reply.
