Hello. I had a question regarding date of birth. Is it legal for a person to change his date of birth by procuring a new birth certificate? If no, then under which Act or IPC section is it an offence?

the query is not only anonymous but vague also in the form of a question papers being set for examination.

You are not giving details how (and with what motive) are you going to commit crime [whether fraud/forgery] and want to know IPC section under which you can be booked.
