what is the freehold property. Can I use this property for commercial purpose if it situated on nearby commercial road.At present this land is residential.Now i want to take without any permission to use this land for commercial purpose.

You cannot use it commercially without permission from the competent authorities.

Most properties are the actual properties of a statutory body like DDA in Delhi.Such properties are called Leasehold.Once you make it a Freehold property by paying the requisite charges....DDA etc.has no role in the property.It is yours for mortgag/commercial use etc.
