I differ with the views of Mr. S. Raj. It is not a prohibited organization as per the conduct rules of Central or State Governments. However, Mr. S. Raj may like to quote any such Rule or the Instruction of the Government of India or the State, if has he any such evidence of prohibition in his hand.

As long as the constable is not going to hold any office of profit, he can do so.

It is better inform his department, to avoid any problem.
