Not necessarily in company letter head. Any letter of show cause would be sufficient if from its apparent perusal the identity of the sender is ascertained.

if its govt or registered organization mean without show cause notice no one can charge the employee.. i think show cause notice mean (in my understanding)giving a option to the subject person to given explanation against the charges which is against him..

Not necessarily to be only on the company's letter head. But the show cause notice or charge sheet must have sufficient proof of identity with complete address of the company and the issuing authority with his name & designation also.
