This Act is still applicable in India and is widely used.

The query was under force that means without consent so you both would like to repost your replies

Yes the act is still applicable in India
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 12 January 2012
It is indeed in force but what is your actual query?
Shonee Kapoor (Expert) 12 January 2012
Yes, it can be done under force and coercion.

But it has to be proved. What was the reason for force and how the person who got married was under undue influence.
