Transfer of property(flat) in housing co-ops

(Querist) 24 March 2012 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
I am extremely happy for the prompt reply to my query. My humble thanks to Shree Ajay Sethi for his advice.

What intrigues me is that when the house is not in my name how and why I pay maintenance. I would certainly pay the entire maintenace charges once it is transferred in my name. To go to Court is both time and money consuming method. A retired senior citizen avidly avoids both for reason of resource and ardous journey to and fro Ahemdabad. My entreaties to higher, rather the highest authority has not yielded any result. I understand I can only give vent to my frustration without fruitful result. Thank you once again Mr. Ajay Sethi and God Bless you. Yours truly- kiran waljee

i had in my reply pointed out that if you have paid transfer charges , made application for transfer , received noc from society flat is deemed to be transferred in your name if society has not rejected your application for transfer .

you are bound to pay maintenance . if members dont pay maintenance society cannot function . liability for payment of principal amount with interest keeps on mounting . amicable solution becomes difficult

even if you go to court you will be called upon to deposit maintenance arrars
