Self acquire property right

(Querist) 14 May 2013 This query is : Resolved
Hi Experts

I got married 2 years back just after two three months of my marriage i realized that my wife is so greedy and her parents love my money and property.

she always asked me to buy jewelry, gifts weekly lunch or dinner in restaurant, movies and for outside trip in every six month.

finally one day we argued a lot, she told that if my demands are not fulfilled i will give you divorce, i was shocked....

Right now I am staying in rented house and there is one plot which is self acquired by me before marriage now i want to sell my plot to my either sister or brother.

i would like to know can she claim that property/plot which i have sold before divorce to my brother/sister.

She is well aware of that plot.

Thanks

You need not ask your wife to sale your plot as you are free to dispose off it at any time. There is no such law which may provide her right to restrict you to sale that plot.

If questioned property is your self acquired property then you are free to sell/dispose off the same to any one.Your wife can not legally restrict to you in this regard.

No such right not only to her but also any others as it is self-acquired and you are free to do whatever you wish with the property.
