respected sir/madam, My father passed away 2 yrs ago and our step brothers and sisters are not willing to give rights to me and my mother of the property and wealth which was left by my father. Before my father died the property went on redevelopment under sra scheme and there was an agreement done between builder and the tenents. And the agreement was on my mothers name and the original documents are with my step brother, we do not have any copy. Nor the society or builder is willing to give us copy and we guess they are currupt. Is it possible they can change the agreement now? if so then how to stop them doing so? What is the legal way to obtain another copy? Do the BMC keep copies of such agreements? The allotment has started and we are worried, please help us, Thanking You.

If the agreement is registered you can avail copy from registrar's office. You can inquire BMC under RTI about such agreement and may ask copy.

if the agreement is in your mother name your step brothers cannot deprive you of property . obtain copy of agreement from registrar office as suggested by experts
