Purchase procedure

Respected sir,
my friend wants to purchase a property from
brothers & sisters of a family.the property
owner is grandmother of them.she is no more.
their parents also not alive.as initial purchase process searching regarding the property to be done before any agreement or
not? pl.suggest.

make any enquiry about the other legal heirs if any and before purchase make a paper publication calling objections from the public or any body who are interested over that property.

In the given case, a relinquishment deed or a family settlement can be made which shall save a lot of money as the property is ancestral in the hands of buyer and seller.

You do need to trace the origin of title passing to sellers you wish to buy from.
