My friends Husbandha's filed case is in maharahstra.But her advocate has not given proper service and neglect so many things. But advocate had taken huge amount in initial stage. Now she want to take action against her. What is the procedure? May she can file case in consumer forum ? Or bar council will better option ? Who much time it takes? She canfile complain in Barcouncil or consumercourt of her own state ? please reply.

In person, ur frd h can file complaint DC in Bar council of Mah & Goa. at Bombay.
There u can demand compensation, and action against erring Adv.

Consumer complaint can also be filed but it shall take a long time so better to make complaint in bar Council.

first send a legal notice to lawyer and demand refund of fees and claim damages also.

lawyers were not liable to be proceeded against before the consumer forum as the services rendered by them did not come within the ambit of the consumer law.

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday stayed a ruling of the apex consumer forum holding that services rendered by an advocate to his client in the course of litigation be covered under the provisions of Consumer Protection Act.
A Bench comprising Justices L S Panta and B Sudershan Reddy stayed the ruling of National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), which was challenged by a large number of advocate bodies after lawyers raised a hue and cry over the prospect of being sued by clients for deficient service.
