Getting a new lawyer

(Querist) 19 February 2013 This query is : Resolved
I have a civil case and hired a lawyer. It is not working out. I need to get another lawyer. I understand that the earlier lawyer has to sign no objection certificate.
I have contacted mutliple times and he says he will provide it. It has been six months. I still hasn't got it.

No dues pending etc.
What are my options.I need to get another lawyer and take my case forward

Thanks in advance.

Mr. Nanda,
Let me confirm. I don't need a NOC for getting another lawyer?
Khaleel Ahmed Mohammed (Expert) 19 February 2013
Yes, NOC is necessary for filing new vakalath. If your lawyer refuse to issue NOC need not worry, you are require to file a affidavit along with leave petition before the court.Consult with your would be new lawyer, he will do all need full.

better take NOC.

If you put the true picture before the court, no NOC shall be required and your vakalatnama in favour of other lawyer shall duly be accepted as the matter of providing NOC cannot be misutilized.
