Joint familly law

Is there any age limit for daughter to claim joint family property (Hindu undivided family). Because my grandfather is 90 yr old and he wants to devide his property bt my mothers brother not allowing him to give our share. They are claiming that my mom is 1953 born and she do not have any rites to get property share.so my mother is no more and as being son of, my mother even I will not get share in the property. So is that true that adoughter who had born bellow 1956 they do not have rites to ask joint family property share plzzz clarify me
