Maintenance to parents

Hi,
I am professional married male..married in 2001..spouse is working in govt sector..have two small kids..
my father retired from private job in 2005 my mother is housewife..now living in rural pune area in house which was built in 2002....in 2005 they (father & mother)sold ancestral land which was 1.5 acres....in 2007 he sold another land around 1.5 out of 6 acres which was purchased by him in 1986..now 4.5 acres of land and 1 bhk flat (he purchased that in 1996) in mumbai is remaining..whole land is irrigated and superior quality..
They gave me 9.5 lacs (as a gift or token of appreciation) in 2009 as I have helped a lot earlier.. I used to give them money every month (12000-15000).
till 2010 mumbai flat was in my possession..they asked me to leave possession of flat (on instigation of one of my sisters...it happens in many families..)..I asked for flat to live as I dont have any & I am staying in rented flat now..they asked me not to give them anything & they too wont give me anything ..I have stopped giving them money which I used to give them every month..
I heard that they want to sell that flat & give money to sister..also they are preparing to send me notice regarding maintenance for them..
Though we both are working our financial position is not that good to bear extra burden of maintenance due to high cost of living in mumbai..children education expenses..house rent..other EMIs..
Now my queries are -
1.can they ask for money (9.5 l) given to me...I have monetarily helped them earlier and later too..but in cash..& they gave me 9.5 L in pay order for covenience of carrying...
2.can they ask for maintenance from me..?
they have got 4.5 acres of good quality,irrigated agricultural land..of which 2 acres is in my name...at the time of purchasing they bought 2 acres in my name for the ceiling of land issue....I was minor then..now on 7/12 bears my name (2 acres).
also they have got 1 poultry of 3000 sq.feet..which can get rent of 4000 to 5000 per month..
also on 1st floor of house in pune there are 2 rooms which are built to be rented...they use to give them on rental basis..each room can get rent of Rs.800 pm
flat in mumbai can get a rent of 10000-15000 per month..
3.can they claim 2 acres land which is in my name but originally purchased in my name by my father in 1986..?
4. how shall I proceed ?
kindly guide me respected Sirs...as I am in tremendous stress now a days..

Hope you also in better position. As simple as. It is ur duty to care the parents. They bought property in your name purely shows the affection and love. So if passible you help. Otherwise explain everything to the court

parents unable to maintain themselves can get mtn from their earning children.

You have moral as well as diplomatic duty to extend support, give unqualified, undemanded maintenance and timely visit (at least once a month)to them at this age. You both are earning and should build your own assets. You have been given cash and adequate property. Start immediately giving them the discontinued amount for expenses, definitely after some time you will feel that you are not in loss, financially and blessing wise.

Thank you sirs for your valuable advices...
I am willing to take care of them...I have repeatedly telling them to come to my home in mumbai and stay with us..but they didn't come & didn't state any valid reasons...
I tried to figure out the reasons for not coming to stay with us might be..
1. my sister must be telling them not to
stay with me as she wont get any monetary or other help from them if my parents stay with me...
2. my father is heavy drinker since long (almost 20 years)..& he will find it awkward to stay with us with his drinking habit..I once convinced him but my mother said no..
last part..how much money is required to lead a good life for aged couple ?
in rural area where most of the required food is produced in farm.including milk...
and where Rs.10000 pm is good amount for a small family(family of four)...I was giving them 12000 pm ..excluding medical expenses...
shall I start it again ?..I think I should..but I cant provide 40000 pm and it is not justified too..
Rajendra Goyal sir has rightly said about moral and diplomatic duty...blessings definitely counts..
I will visit them at the earliest..will try to remove misunderstandings & confusions....and definitely post updates here...
but the question I asked earlier remains...
what are the legal consequences and fate of the suit if my parents bring against me ?
..just a query & wanted to know..
