Dear Experts,

We are an IT company and an ATS officer has visited us recently, he wants us to disclose personal information of a employee and he is not ready to provide a written request/application asking for info. on his letterhead.

Are we legally bound to provide such information to ATS W/O written application by them?
ajay sethi (Expert) 05 February 2014
cross check his antecedents whether he is from ATS or not . send a letter to ATS that Mr __________ had visited your office and sought personal information on an employee . to please confirm whether any such information is required by ATS or not

Unless he comes with a court order, you are not bound to provide it especially when he is not supported by letter of higher authority either.
