Witness in a criminal case

In a criminal case, my relative who is a lady has been marked as witness. Whether she has right to refuse to depose witness as she was scared of the attitude of the Accused in the case. What is the reason can be adduced to the court to get rid of the situation.

she should give evidence voluntarily . if she refuses to give evidence court can issue warrant against you

She has to give evidence on receiving of summons, on refusal arrest warrant can be issued.

She can avoid deposing. After that the court may spare her or issue arrest warrant.
In court she is free to depose what she wants.
