I given a rent to my tenant from 2012 and no issues from them in the month of april 2014 i heard from the neighbours from the home stating something wrong happening at my home and they asked to investigate and i informed my tenant to vacate the home serving 3 months notice. for which he acknowledge the written notice In the meantime the tenant absconded leftover his wife and small kid and they absconded july 15th without any further intimation and when we try to contact them in phone there was no response now the home is locked by them and their notice period is over and i their last 3 months rent been adjusted by the advance money.
We dont have any of their relatives ph or address to inform them
we tried to conatact local police who reluctant to accept the complaint
can i take over my home by unlocking their lock? please advice

You can approach the rent controller for eviction. Get a proper order for eviction and take possession.

dont break the lock . contact a local lawyer and file eviction proceedings against the tenant

You have to file eviction suit against tenant and to get order of eviction from court thereafter get possetion through court.
