i have a house property which is in pagadi system for which monthly rent 100 . i want to know if we give our house on rent does we are liable the pay the landlord half of the rent.or if we give our shop on rent and show the agreement as patnership do the landlord take objection .and we came to know if we sell our home we have to pay 35percent to landlord is there any percent d ecide by the government on padgadi house and the landlord now is demanding 50 percent of the value of property. we are living inthis building from last 30yrs and the building is reconstructyred by our money only

you cannot give your premises on rent without consent of landlord . you cannot induct any partner and prepare a partnership deed as rental receipt must be in your individual name . generally in case of transfer of tenancy landlord demands 35%of amount received by tenant . 50%demanded is excessive . settle it mutually

Agreed that being a tenant you cannot sell the property belonging to the landlord, you can transfer the tenancy at a rate but the landlord under the pagadi system demand atleast 50% these days, so talk to him and settle the issue amicably.
