Plese help me:
My husband applied divorce in one city(some X)(native place) and i applied to reunion in another city (some Y)where we both r working. Yesterday, he got Ex-party divorce. But my case is running in another city(Y). Still i am not getting my things and jewels. Is there any chance to get back my things and jewels?

Since your husband has got exparte divorce, your case of reunion falls to the ground. Take immediate steps to set aside the exparte decree obtained by your husband. You can also file a seperate application in your case praying the court for return of things and jewels. Tell your advocate to take the necessary steps.

If two separate proceeding for divorce is pending before two different or the same court , the provision of Sec 21A of the HMA provides for analogous hearing and disposal of both suits. If the suits are pending before different district courts then the suits would have to be transferred for conjoint hearing.
So you first set aside the ex parte decree and proceed with the directions of Sec21A.
For return of stridhan article the party will have to file petition u/s 27 of the Act in the divorce suit itself.
