Amendment in affidavit of witness/petitioner in claim case

In a pending claim petition us 166 of MV Act, i filed affidavit Exhibit PW1/A of petitioner PW1 in evidence,i want to amend address of petitioer in affidavit,i want to know whether amendment in this affidavit filed by petitioner is permissible or not,kindly help with citation.Regards

You can not amend an affidavit but you can move a supplementary affidavit to the same effect stating either change in address or typing mistake whatever it may be .

you cannot amend an affidvit because it is a sworn statement and the address does not make much difference.
