Hi,

Please help as i need to close my 498A case which is pending in mysore court, my mutual consent divorce case is finished in the year 2010 october till today the court has not even called for hearing and my advocate is just buying time on every hearing date. And what are the options to close my case please help me with info.

Procedure has to be followed. Unless evidence of the complainant and wittnesses case cannot be closed.

Status is that advocate is taking time to start the evidence and the complainant is travelling abroad as she is getting married in 2 weeks.

The case under 498a,it will take some time till the evidence is complete,there is no connection of suit on mutual consent divorce,even your wife can claim maintenance after mutual consent divorce.

sir mutual consent case is over one year back and still this case is going on. if she flies to abroad what will happen to the case.

If you file a consensual quashing petition before the high court, the case would be quashed on the very first day when the case would be heard by the high court.

What were the terms of MCD, why did you not quash the case before getting MCD.
