What should be the time limit between two dates/adjournments?

(Querist) 18 April 2012 This query is : Resolved
I am a Complainant in the case. The Charge-Sheet was placed/submitted in the court in 2009. After that only date has been given till today. What is the stage or status of the case? Whether it is process? What happens in this stage? For what, this stage is required?

The last date was on 03/10/2001 and today on 18/04/2012 it was the date in the court in my case. The next date is given by the court on 15/01/2013. Why so much of time between two dates? It is about 9 months of time between two dates.

after filing of chargesheet the next state is framing of charges, it is the duty of the court. Giving dates depends on the court.

If you are so vigilant about the dates, you might also be having the knowledge of the proceedings initiated during these adjournments. If not then it can safely be presumed that you are asking this question just for asking and has no ground to raise this simple question here.

As per procedure, the evidence might be going on these days and keeping on the heavy burden on courts, such long dates are given.

depnds upon backlog of cases . courts are overburdened . hence long dates

Depends upon work in the specific court.

Mr. Makkad, What is the benefit to me for asking question only for asking only? There was not any Proceeding so far till date during adjournments. Only date is given every time.

Thanks.
