Forgery in a property paper for rent

hello sir,
my dad has an ancestral property in nipani, karnataka. a 3500sq feet property rented for office purpose to a company. but my dad was unaware of this agreement of rent. until recently when dad asked for the agreement copy in which my uncle had forged my dads signature. the rent has been paid to only uncle since past 5-7years.
my dad is a resident of kolhapur, maharashtra.
i want to know how & where can my dad file a case against this so that this isnt repeated again in future deals.also can i file a petition to check all the other deals my uncle has done by forging?

better resolve issuer amicably within family . if not possible to do so file criminal complaint against brother for cheating , forgery etc .
if property is situated in karntaka advisable to file case is karntaka . contact a local lawyer .

Forgary has been committed in Krnataka. It will be registered in Local Police station.
I agree with advise of Mr sethi for amicable settlement. But unfortunately one does not commit forgary only to get the matter emicable settlement.
Yet you have to try ande remember what is written in Ramayana (Sunder Kand)

dear sirs,
thank you for the valuable guidance.
i agree the issue should have been solved amicably within the family. and so we tried. but instead of admitting to his mistakes, my uncle is coming up with counter-allegations which r baseless and without evidences.
my father is not the man doing all this to earn something out of this. he wants to prove that he will not take this without reaction.
& so we have asked the police to go ahead with the case filed on 7th february 2013.
we follow just one thing- paap karne wala and paap sehne wala, samaan hote hain..
:)
i will need your guidance time and again with this matter.
