Dear experts,
I am working in a private MNC. My husband has joined Tokyo University for 3 years. Can I ask my company to transfer me in Japan for few months, according to Indian law.

Yes, you can for transfer but in absence of clear HR Policy in this respect in your company , you can not force your company to transfer you to the same place.

Please remember, you work for your company and the company does not work for you.
If the company requires your services at Tokyo naturally when you make a representation they may consider and accommodate your request. In case, the Company has no requirement for any additional hand at Tokyo, they have no obligation to accommodate your request. There is no law which compels a Company to post you to a station (that too in a foreign country) where your husband is posted.

Disappointing :(. But Thank you all THE VETERANS for your answers & suggestions. Now I won't ask what to do in the situation where I want to go there but also don't want to leave my Job:)

There is nothing to be disappointed about. You have been saved from the ignorance of believing that you have a legal right to force your employer to concede to your request for a posting in a foreign country!
Even now, nothing is lost. You have to approach your employer. Who knows, perhaps they may like to consider your request.
It is in this sort of situations the adage "trial costs nothing" comes into play.
