dear sir,
I am a medical professional an doing a private practice.i want to engage in other type of business also,like a land development ant selling.i want to make a partnership firm with my friend or want to make a company under company law for such business.whether it is possible or not or if there is any restriction.

I dont think, the rules and regulations governing your profession allow you to participate actively in some other profession simultaneously.

sir,
i have seen in this forum few days back in one of the replies from mr.makkad that there is no such restriction in mci rules,hence no restriction.please clarify.

Rules of Bar council of India specifically bar advocates not to engage themselves in any other business ,trade or practice.
The aforesaid answers are a sweeping result
of burden that even medical council might be having such a rule as in case of medical profession demand of such a rule is even greater.
But I think Medical council is not too much bothered about it and has not put any such a bar in it's Code of Ethics Regulations, 2002(amended up to 2010).

Medical Council of India rules do not put any restriction to that effect. If any expert do possess such rules as are similar to BCI then let every one know so that every one may be updated.
