sir
can a will be challenged after 20 years, the elders of the family had no problem ,most of them have expired but one person of the 2nd generation is trying to challenge and we are staying in the premises since more than 20 years and the person is just resorting to harassment, now that we have lost our parent and he wants to exploit and take advantage of the situation, his father had no problem since so many years
is there any time bar or law of limits?
thanks

Is the WILL registered?
If not what are facts by which you can attribute knowledge of the WILL to opposite
party wishing to challenge the WILL?
The limitation to challenge the WILL would be three years to be counted from the date of KNOWLEDGE of the WILL to him.

You need not worry as you are already in the possession of that property since last more than 20 years by way of the will and the father of the challenger had also knowledge of that will so there is no scope of its challenge at such belated stage.
