Sueing big companies

(Querist) 09 August 2014 This query is : Resolved
Hi All,

I want to sue the Reliance BIG TV. I know it is a small compliant I have.

Complaint: I paid for one year activation on Nov 18th 2013. I called the customer care at 4:26PM and made the bank transaction at 4:30 PM.
Now in August, they say that I only called in for checking on my account but did not inform them to activate for one year. So they only gave me 9 months of service.
I am not stupid to pay the amount of 1 year activation around the same time of my call and not tell them to activate it for an year.
I have lost 3 months of service due to negligence of an employee.

If they say that they cannot help me, I want to sue Reliance. How can I do it?
This is how big companies make profit out of nothing. This is how they become so rich. I want to teach them a lesson.

Please advice.

File a case in district consumer forum for the deficiency in service by the company. Any big or small company can be sued in the district consumer forum with no distinction.

Could you advice how exactly should I file a complaint in the district forum?

Simple application with each detail is necessary to deposit in the forum with a very moderate amount of court fee for the the case depending upon the amount of claim.

consumer forum is proper fora for you. Consult a local lawyer.
Advocate Bhartesh goyal (Expert) 09 August 2014
Though it is not required but it will be better for you to file complaint before consumer forum through a lawyer.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 09 August 2014
Issue a notice to the company and if it does not fetch relief within reasonable time granted by you, approach DCDRF.

you should file complaint before district consumer forum.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 13 August 2014
I go by the advise of expert Mr. Kumar Doab, that first you serve the company with a legal notice expressing your grievances and demanding relief from them by redressing the same, if this does not invoke any response, you may opt for a complaint with a consumer forum, but see how much worth is the whole exercise.
