Dear Sir,
I had taken car loan from Chola in 2006 (Rs. 315000). I paid the installments for two years. I lost my job and couldn't pay any more EMIs so they took my car away. The auctioned it without letting me know the auctioned amount and then told me that I need to pay them Rs. 68655. I informed them I am jobless and cannot pay.
Later they changed my loan status to written off and the same reflected in CIBIL. since 2012 the code used by them is XXX. I have tried my best to improve CIBIL Scores since 2011 an managed to get it from 500 to 650 in 5 years. Chola suddently changed the Due past day code to 900 from December 2015 and to my shock when I checked the CIBIL score this month it dropped to 589. I reported this to CIBIL but they said they cannot do anything. I emailed to Chola many time this month but there is no response.
I escalated the matter to CIBIL (all 3 levels) to Chola management, ROC and CLB. but there is no response.
Sir, Please help me what legal options do I have to proceed, so that I can get the CIBIL rectified.
Warm regards
Abraham.

CIBIL record is based merely on the data provided by the financial intitution. So, your solution lies in correction of record by the finance company. Convince them in person by getting your payment record by reconciling with their record, instead of emailing on the basis of your own general perception.

you never said that the calculation of the lender was wrong or whether you have paid everything what was due.

Dhingra Sir, I have no idea whom to contact. Customer care is of no help and they dont respond to my emails.
Sudhir Sir, The amount due as per their record is 68655/- I am not disputing it. This amount was written off way back in 2012. My problem is with the DPD status which changed from XXX to 900. This is spoiling the score. Hence need advise. Please help me if you have any contacts of lawyers in Hyderabad who can deal with these kind of cases.

@ Abraham/Discography,
You have initiated many threads on CIBIL,Gratuity,Work Hours etc e.g:
http://www.lawyersclubindia.com/experts/CIBIL-Need-an-expert-advise-please-513521.asp#.Vqx6Y09-jMo
and have been advised in detail and you have posted that you have been able to resolve the issues.
Once written off in the books the NBFC should not demand it from you.
Written Off is an adverse entry that affects credit reports.
It is known to you alone what has been communicated by you verbally/in person/by phone calls (recorded)/in writing to NBFC and what interpretation is made by NBFC?
You might have made some mistakes and even NBFC might have been deficient and committed transgression................and an able counsel can tap these.
LCI Expert Mr. P Janardhan Reddy from Hyderabad has resolved matters / threads pertaining to CIBIL.

What does code 900 indicates / stand for?
Send legal notice to lender and CIBIL that the loan is time barred, you owe nothing, same is not recoverable legally, their information supplied to CIBIL be changed.
