I have send query in the past too and am very thankful to all of you for your kind support.
I have also a query open called cheating by chennai packers and movers.
I have sent a legal notice as directed by all of you and their lawyer responded that they have agreed on a sum of 45k which is what I had also mutually agreed subject to me receiving my washing machine intact.
I had written to them that since the machine is also missing I would need another 7k plus the legal fees. I told them I am ready to settle the matter for 52-55k. After my reply they have not yet replied.
I have got their document from their lawyer that they are in agreement for 45k amount. Now they are just keeping mum since I have put my demand. My Lawyer says now there's only one alternative i.e to move to a consumer court since they are not responding.
I fail to understand how they are trying to contact me for a settlement even though they have send a official legal reply to my notice wherein they have agreed for an amount. Now after my reply they are not responding.
Can I file in consumer court for mental agony and damages as well? Also will their legal reply be ample proof for the consumer court that they have agreed on a specific sum { since they have agreed on a sum means there's deficiency of service}
Also my lawyer tells me that a lawyer will cost me 40-50k to file in the consumer court which honestly I can't afford as I belong a a middle class family and the amount disputed also is around 70-80k which I had negotiated for 45k+ my washing machine cost.
I need some help legally and also its quite puzzling that they are mum over this issue or is it they are thinking that I will let it go.

I had booked my household items by chennai movers n packers from mumbai to meghalaya on the 31st of may ltr nos 2100 and they had promised delivery on the
12th of june.
I once again had followed up with them from Mumbai on the 12th but their representative Mr Vinod cell nos 09987440011 told me that it will reach by the 14th.
Since time was a very important factor and also since no one would be at Meghalaya, I took a special flight to Guwahati and Meghalaya to collect the goods.
We were in for a rude shock as the Chennai guy was not responding and not picking up calls and then he put us through to Mr Shukla cell nos 9322154093 to who the consignment was subleased or rather he was the middle man who actually had to book the consignment and send it across.
Mr shukla kept on promising that the consigment will reach the next day until the 21st of June. Everyday there were false promises that the truck driver is absconding and the truck is marooned in guwahati. Then Shukla told me to speak to Sanjay Singh cell nos the transporter i.e SS logistic, who have a office in kashemera in Thane .
He too lied thru his teeth and told us that the consignment has reached and will reach in one day right from sunday the 16th of June.
The consignment finally reached in shillong and it had to be picked up from the border as the transporter has loaded it in another vehicle! We had to pay 5k additional charges to unload and deliver it to the home and also unpack it!
Adding to the misery EACH AND EVERY ITEM WAS DAMAGED AND MASSIVE DAMAGED WAS DONE TO THE GYM MACHINE WHICH WAS WORTH 25K AND 6 CARTONS ALONG WITH THE WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE IS STILL MISSING.ALL THE CARTONS WERE WET AND TORN AND MANY OF THE ITEMS WERE STOLEN.
Chennai movers and packers were saying we have given you the nos of Shukla to follow up, Shukla had given me the drivers nos of SS logistic to follow up and both were saying that its your job to follow up
They have traced the washing machine and its LYING IN GUWAHATI but no one knows the condition of it till now. Also the six cartons which were missing were of Handbags, expensive clothes and shoes.
We need the compensation for the mental trauma, damaged goods and also a refund by the movers and packers. We have in total paid an amount of 54k to chennai packers and 5k paid to the loaders in Shillong. almost 60k has only been spent for moving the goods. The entire unpacking was done by us at home. There were no person of the movers and packers when the consignment came to Shillong.
The damages and the missing items are worth almost 70k.
The Gym machine, TV unit and many of the items are completely smashed. I have even sent a mail to vinod on his personal ID but everyday he says he hasn't received it. Their office is in Airoli Mumbai
Kindly let me know on what should be the next course of action. Also they are not giving any insurance copy and have already claimed money to the tune of 5k against the goods
Cheating done by bhutan travel agency
Dear Sir/Madam,
I had traveled to bhutan between the period 13th to 20th of June. I had booked a complete package from them and it was an all inclusive package, it included the stay, car with a driver and an exclusive guide.
The hotels and all were ok and as per expectation, but the car provided was a non AC one and also they had mentioned on mail that they will show me a place called Wangdue in BHutan which was not shown as the permit of it was not taken from the capital city Thimpu. I had spoken to them and also put a mail to them regarding these issues,they told me they will resolve it but they didn't.
I had to forgo and cut short the visit to this place and also had to deal with a substandard service wr t the car. I have also come to know that the air tickets charged to me were quite high than the usual ones charged for indian nationals { indians have special fare to travel to bhutan}
They had charged me seperately 13k per head for a return airfare i.e Kolkata paro Kolkata, I Had checked online and found out that the airfare offered to indians were a little cheaper i,e at 8k for return fare. Since the fares were charged separately and I had to do a RTGS, have requested them an invoice copy for the same as they would have paid the air fare to the airlines.
They are still not providing the invoice copy and are also denying that no one can offer at such low prices the tickets. I have told them that probably the carrier would have charged them extra, so kindly provide the invoice copy of the bookings. They are now not responding on this request as well.
I have told them that as a client, I am entitled to get a proper invoice copy of the airfare as it was charged seperately by them.
Can I take this matter legally or thru a consumer court with them? In case they have actually paid the same amount to the air carrier then they shouldn't have a problem giving me an invoice right?
Need all your views on this matter and how to take this forward. The issues here are deficiencies of services and providing incorrect details of the air fare.
