False final report u/s 173 crpc

(Querist) 25 January 2017 This query is : Resolved
The police have submitted a false FR u/s 173 in my FIR exonerating the accused. What should I do to lodge my protest, and what is the time limit of it if any? Is there any use of pursuing the matter with senior police officers?
Madhava Rao Gorrepati (Expert) 27 January 2017
once report is submitted the senior police officers can do taking recourse to further investigation, which is permissible under section 173 (8) Cr.P.C. if the report is served on you by the court you can file a protest, (Narazi) petition. the notice itself says withing which time you have to file your protest petition which usually is one month although no limitation is prescribed.

So, Unless I haven't received a notice from the court, I do not need to file a narazi?
J K Agrawal (Expert) 01 February 2017
At the time of filing FR the police will inform to you and give a date to appear In court.

If no such date given, you contact to police station and ask the date and name of court where they filed FR. Then trace out the file at court and appear your self on next date.

If it is closed by the Court without hearing to you, still you can file n protest petition.
