(Querist) 09 November 2014 This query is : Resolved
I am planning to purchase mobile thro online shops. If any issue arises after the purchase through online, is it possible to file complaint in local district consumer forum.

If not possible how to get relief. Pl.help me
Advocate M.Bhadra (Expert) 09 November 2014
If you have valid money receipt and knowledge of proper address of the seller then you can file a case in Consumer Forum.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 09 November 2014
If there is no clause to limit the jurisdiction to any particular place which is mostly done, you can file case locally.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 09 November 2014
You can if jurisdiction clause does not exist in the order form / bill or any other accepted document.
Advocate Bhartesh goyal (Expert) 09 November 2014
I completely agree with Mr M.Bhadra.you can file complaint before consumer Forum if you have valid invoice and address of seller.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 09 November 2014
Online purchase presupposes existence of receipt or voucher.
ajay sethi (Expert) 10 November 2014
agree with Mr Barman
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 10 November 2014
I respectfully disagree with the experts in the given circumstances since the complaint case is still in conceptual level and no goods (mobile phone)have been purchased, in that eventuality how consumer complaint is maintainable.
Hypothetical and academic query.
malipeddi jaggarao (Expert) 14 November 2014
The author is skeptical. Instead of buying mobile on line and later complaining to the consumer forum for deficiency of services if any, it is better to purchase the mobile in the open market.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 14 November 2014
Well said by expert Mr. Jagga Rao. the author may take this route if he doe not wants to under take risk.
