Dear All,
My son bit into a digestive candy of a famous pharma company of Indian manufacture which was ordered online. He suddenly felt a prick in the mouth and on taking the half bitten candy out of his mouth, he found a stapler pin embedded in it. I have got the proof along with the wrapper and even the packet which it came in.
What action could one take from the initial start for the same. Do we put it in the media, sue them or ask for a compensation. I would not like to go through years of court hearings and spend a bomb without knowing the final results and want a quick way out. At the same time would like to create awareness of the same incident to the mass.
Kindly guide.
Regards

"I would not like to go through years of court hearings and spend a bomb without knowing the final results and want a quick way out. At the same time would like to create awareness of the same incident to the mass!" When you intent undertake a mission, there cannot be any pre-conditions.
You can contact the customer care, I am sure they would profusely apologise and bless you with a big carton candies.

You may inform the company and raise your demands.
If you are serious engage an able counsel.

If you have all the evidence right from booking the parcel till it stuck in son's mouth, do not hesitate, but immediate file a case before the District Consumer Forum for all the carelessness and deficiency in service with no cost to the pocket.

I fully agree with the practical, experienced and expert advise of Mr. P Venu.
Despite the fact that I am in the legal profession and came across similar contaminated food called "POHA MOTA" under the brand name of "Rajdhani" prepared and marketed by M/s Victoria Foods Pvt. Ltd. purchased from authorized outlet of Delhi government Fruit & Vegetable agency called "Safal"; wherein I found wooden screw and peels of paint.
I took up the case with the company who got it tested in the laboratory and smartly denied the fact. Consequently I dropped the issue, although the contents of packet is still lying unused in my house.
