Dear Sir, i want to know the Income criteria for Legal SErvice help from Court in india.
How it is calculated ?? Does this income calculated on Basic Salary or Total net in hand salary. because In hand salary includes DA, HRD etc.
Please reply me. and what is the procedure to avail free legal help.

1. An Affidavit of the applicant that he falls under the categories of persons entitled to free legal services under S. 12 shall ordinarily be sufficient.
2. The income-ceiling limit U/s 12(h) of the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987 has been enhanced to Rs. 50,000/- per annum to extend the benefits of the Act to more people.
3. An application for legal services may be presented preferably in Form-I in the local language or English.
