As per my opinion, if you want to return the gift given by your father then you can again gift it to your father through the registered gift deed.

If the gift deed was executed by a registered gift deed, and if the same was executed within three years from this date then you and the donor can execute a registered cancellation deed jointly to cancel the registered gift deed. If it is beyond three years then you may have to transfer the property by a registered deed to your father/donor.

Once a gift deed is registered, it can't be revoked or cancelled however a suit for declaration to declare gift deed null and void may be filed on ground of fraud and coircion.

You shall execute the Gift deed for the same property as it cannot be revoked.

A registered gift deed is irrevocable. However a suit for cancellation may be filed. It would be better to consult and engage a local prudent lawyer for appreciation of facts/ documents, professional advise and necessary proceeding.
