Government land

In Hyderabad sub urban, before purchasing a plot, what way we can identify whether the title is not of government land?

in one case EC is not showing the owner as Govt as it was gifted to weaker section person. so the deal was not proceeded.

In other words relying on EC is not a good idea, do we have any other method to find out?

take title serach of records for 30 years . contact a local lawyer

Take the property extract and encumbrance certificate

It shall be better for you to take the services of a local lawyer and obtain a detailed search report since last 30 years.
