Sir, i have got technical resignation on friday from parent department and joined another department on monday for govt. office closes on sat. & sun. How will my service continue? My office colleague doesn't know about it. Pls suggest.

Service in parent department you shall be deemed to continue as you applied for new job through proper channel and technical resignation with the approval of parent Department joined the new job. Your pay if it is higher than the the new job, your period of service date get extended to new job.because yours is a technical resignation.The period of past service will be extended or continued to new job and also other retirement benefits of past service.

Whether any joining time provided in your relieving letter?
There is no break in service.
If the designated department is not ready to cooperate, may treat the period as leave.
