I am a law student, my q is are 2 marriages permitted in Hindu marriage act

You can NOT marry two at a time.BIGAMY is prohibited by the Act under reference.

But after death or divorce of former you can carry one to marry one at a time as many times as many opportunities arise before you.

Which Sem/ Year Law student are you?

Second marriage was permitted if the second marriage was performed in 1954 or before.

So, one need to invent a time machine and go back in 1954 or prior for second marriage to be permissible in HMA.
