Hindu - muslim marriage

(Querist) 09 April 2014 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sirs,

A girl from our hindu family wish to marry a muslim boy under the Special Marriage Act i.e. without converting of any one. I would like to know whether at any time after the marriage (under Special Marriage Act) does the boy or any one of his family compel the girl for conversion or is there any more precautions required to be taken for the safety of their marriage life including the girl life?

Please reply.

Thanks in advance.

both parties can retain their religion . hence marriage under special marriage act is best bet . no forcible conversion can take place

No forcible conversion, marriage under special marriage act both can retain their religion.

bride and groom can retain their religion and also maintain their social activity. Forcible conversion is a punishable crime.
