Hindu succession act particularly amendment 2005

(Querist) 09 June 2013 This query is : Resolved

Although the said amendment has been introduced as an element of balance also, which was earlier not there, but the same has been left stunted and incomplete. By saying so I am referring to the under mentioned part (c) of the amendment in Section 6 of the HSA amendment 2005;

6. Devolution of interest in coparcenary property. — (1) On and from the commencement of the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005, in a joint Hindu family governed by the Mitakshara law, the daughter of a coparcener shall, —
(a) by birth become a coparcener in her own right in the same manner as the son;
(b) have the same rights in the coparcenary property as she would have had if she had been a son;
(c) be subject to the same liabilities in respect of the said coparcenaries property as that of a son,

For a query on a particular case a file in 'WORD' is attached.

Attachments are not shown along with the queries. Better place your query along with your doubt on the issue of the amendment act. on what account you consider that stunted and incomplete.

Yes, Prabhakar ji. In spite of the fact that provision of attachment still exists there for the querists, but the site has not been showing the attachments since long (may be due to some software deficiency). Of course, it had been showing attachments in the past.
