How to get old bank statement from sbi

Hello Sir/Madam,
My brother-in-law have a NRI account with SBI. We need a bank statement from the year 2001-2005.
When we asked regarding this, the bank said that they didn't have it here and it will be in head office. And, we gave requisition letter also to the bank as they said. But, no response for that also.
And, it was not fully computerized at that time.
Please, help me out in this to get a bank statement on those years. What are the possible ways to collect it from bank?

Whether the Branch had shifted to computerization at that time?
Before computerization accounts were manual and it is difficult to get record of that time if passbook not updated / statements not received and preserved.
If it was in Bank master software (before switching to presently used CBS software, SBI was using Bank Master software) statements can be revived at Branch level or online request can be sent to technical support section, by 1-3 days they would send the statement to the Branch.
You can post online complaint / request followed by reminders to the Bank site / central office of the Bank.
It should be resolved in 2-3 days maximum.
